“This expansion is something we have looked forward to for several years,” commented Doug Powell, president of National Switchgear. “We will have a very flexible space for ongoing training of employees, customers, testing of equipment, as well as hosting industry training workshops.”

The new building, which will also house offices, conference rooms and storage space for equipment, is projected to be complete sometime during the spring of 2012.

NSG provides green solutions to both industrial and utilities markets throughout the United States. Remanufacturing is the “greenest of green” practices, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint, energy use, and landfill waste. It does not pollute the environment or consume valuable raw materials. Remanufacturing contributes an estimated $50 billion in annual sales to the U.S. economy and employs an estimated half million people.

“The past 25 years have been a learning process that has evolved into a very mature and successful business,” Powell stated. “Our start-up struggles and learning experiences are well behind us and, as we look ahead, we plan to double the size of the company over the next decade. This milestone for NSG is really a celebration of many people. We would not be here if it weren’t for our clients who over these 25 years have supported and grown with us. This building is a testimonial to them. As we look to the future, we remain committed to improving the performance, reliability, and protection of the electrical power systems of our clients.”
