National Field Services Holds Ground Breaking Ceremony on New Building

Lewisville, TX (March 15, 2011) - National Switchgear (NSG), one of the largest and most preferred remanufacturer of electrical equipment in the marketplace, recently broke ground for a new 23,000 square foot building at their location on Franklin Street in Lewisville, TX.

The company, celebrating their 25thanniversary this year, will use the new space to expand the NSG business and to house its National Field Services (NFS) sister company.

NFS serves the utility and industrial markets and delivers first-class electrical onsite services through reliable testing, maintenance and a variety of electrical engineering services designed to improve power system performance, reliability and increase personnel safety.

“This expansion is something we have looked forward to for several years,” commented Doug Powell, president of National Switchgear. “We will have a very flexible space for ongoing training of employees, customers, testing of equipment, as well as hosting industry training workshops.”

The new building will also house offices, conference rooms and storage space for equipment.

NSG provides green solutions to both industrial and utilities markets throughout the U.S. Remanufacturing is the “greenest of green”, significantly reducing green house gas emissions, carbon footprint, energy use, and landfill waste. It does not pollute the environment or consume valuable raw materials. As well, remanufacturing in the U.S. contributes an estimated $50 billion in annual sales to the economy and employs an estimated half a million people.

“The past 25 years have been a learning process that has evolved into a very mature and successful business,” Powell stated. “Our start-up struggles and learning experiences are well behind us and as we look ahead we plan to double the size of the company over the next decade. This milestone for NSG is really a celebration of many people. We would not be here if it weren’t for our clients who over these 25 years have supported and grown with us. This building is a testimonial to them. As we look to the future, we remain committed to improving the performance, reliability, and protection of the electrical power systems of our clients.”
